Awesome Color Palettes to Try if You Love The Color Green

Green is one of those colors that feels nostalgic, refreshing, comforting and glam all at once, depending on the shade. It’s amazing in that it can lean cool or warm, which means the possibilities are vast when it comes to decorating with it. Here, we found seven fantastic spaces that use the color to great effect and walk you through how to introduce the fresh palettes into your home.

Green, black and white is such a dependable color combination that feels really fancy, sexy and cosmopolitan, while being incredibly easy to pull off. From the San Francisco Showhouse via Simplified Bee, this vignette (which is actually in a bathroom) has a totally luscious vibe thanks to luxe materials like marble and velvet.

A base of black and white goes with literally every color under the sun, but perhaps the most polished and refined addition to the neutral duo is emerald green. Look for a jewel-toned hue (with blue undertones), and mix in some brass accents to create a room that’s modern and glam.

Perhaps the most classic, tried-and-true combination in this whole lineup, from Lonny.

Blue and green—as well as blue and yellow—literally never fails. Here, we went with a deep chartreuse to shake things up, and paired it with an inky royal navy. A golden yellow balances the rich tones.

From Country Living, here’s a simple green palette that feels friendly, welcoming and calm.

Ripe pear and a soft sage are a match made in green heaven! Use the colors in equal portions (i.e. one on the wall, one on large furniture pieces) to create a look that’s easy and not super fussy. Throw in a mustard-y gold to kick it up a few notches.

If you gravitate to warmer tones, but still want something fresh and relaxing, take a cue from this bedroom by designer Emily Henderson.

We just love the look of a mossy green paired with a soft salmon and blush. Light wood tones and neutrals keep things feeling bright and alive.

We’ve long had a crush on this office space from Studio McGee, and particularly admire how it feels at once light and fresh, but also moody and timeless.

Color Palette

A deep hunter green is the hero of this palette, and should anchor whatever room you’re looking to add it to. To that, bring in a dusty burgundy, an almost-purple marine blue and blonde wood accents to keep things warm and welcoming.

Everyone’s idea of what colors make them happy is different. If your dream palette is sophisticated, unexpected and worldly, try this one as seen in an elegant bedroom by designer Summer Thornton.

Color Palette

Green and red is a classic combination that elicits visions of holiday cheer, but with some subtle shade tweaks, you get a palette that’s quite grown up. Two shades of green—one a little cooler, one warmer, almost olive-y—are elevated with a rich red, and cooled off with a denim-like blue. The touches of black really round everything out.

Inspiration

It doesn’t get jollier than this peppy room bursting with color. As if the color palette weren’t fantastic enough, that verdant wallpaper takes everything to the next level.

Color Palette

Varying shades of green could be used with the same complementary colors shown here, but in this case, an earthy green (with yellow undertones) gets brought to life with pops of fuchsia, eggplant and canary yellow.
