This Tiny Houseboat Packs A Lot Into 360 Square Feet — House of the Day
Houseboats definitely float our boat around here. This one in Boston packs a ton of amenities into a tiny space, and it costs less than $50,000.
This 1986 Chris Craft Catalina 362 power boat is just 360 square feet, but manages to squeeze in two bedrooms and two full baths! We’re not sure what kind of TARDIS magic they’re using (or maybe it’s just space saving boat products), but there’s also a kitchen, dining nook, and living room area, “utilized for maximum efficiency so that you can have private areas and common areas.” Speaking of private, each of the bathrooms are en suite, and the bedrooms each have their own closet as well.
The boat also has a deck so you can relax and soak up the rays (and grill some fresh fish, perhaps?). She’s currently docked at Constitution Marina in Charlestown, which is just across the harbor from downtown Boston, and the slip can be transferred to the new owner (and also comes with a parking spot).
At $49,000, the boat itself is pretty inexpensive, so even with docking fees and upkeep, you could be saving over Boston rent (one of the most expensive cities in the world) if you wanted to trade in a lease for a houseboat like this San Francisco couple.
Not into New England winters? We rounded up some other houseboats for sale from Florida to Seattle.
This houseboat is currently listed for $49,000.
