In the Hot Seat: 12 Affordable & Stylish Sofas Under $1,000 — Annual Guide 2017
If you’ve ever tried to buy a sofa, chances are you’ve been shocked by how much sofas cost. Good-looking upholstered pieces can be very, very expensive. But the good news for those of us on a budget is that this isn’t always the case. In fact, in making this list I was pleasantly surprised by the number of great options out there. All 12 of these stylish picks will set you back less than one grand, many of them under $800. Not too shabby.
Note: Although we’d love to test all these sofas for comfort, sometimes that’s just not possible. Almost all of these sites offer reviews, so be sure to check those out, and, if you have any of the sofas pictured below, share your experience with us in the comments.
A stylish velvet sofa at a very reasonable price. The Eastwig also comes in green and navy.
This roll-arm style sofa is also available in gray, blue, and a gray and white floral.
A lovely linen chesterfield. Customer reviews say it’s super firm, but if that works for you, it’s definitely got very pretty modern meets classic lines.
A slouchy, beachy-casual look for less. The cover is removable, so it can be washed. It’s also available in beige.
Our Previous Lists:
Soft curves and gold legs give this inexpensive sofa a luxe look. It’s also available in black.

Not just a sofa but a sectional sofa for under $1,000 — pretty impressive.
Other Good Resources:

This velvet sofa has a bit of a mid-century feel. It’s also available in yellow and blue. (If you’re not into velvet, there’s a similar design in a non-velvet fabric here.)
This Florence Knoll lookalike comes at a much more accessible price.
