Relatable Human Shania Twain Doesn’t Get Enough Sleep, Is All of Us
If there is something we can all relate to, it’s being tired. So many people struggle with getting a proper amount of sleep, and even platinum recording artists can’t catch enough ZZZs.
Despite being one of the best selling recording artists of all time, it’s been 15 years since Shania Twain released a new album. Though if you haven’t heard, we have good news: The Canadian “queen of country pop” is back with NOW, which drops September 29. The video for the album’s first single, “Life’s About to Get Good,” has over 3 million views since it debuted a month ago. The Cut recently chatted with the singer about her wellness habits, and well, she keeps it real.
The artist, who prefers to swap the gym for the tennis court, opened up about her biggest wellness struggle: Getting enough sleep. “I go in and out of different time zones, and I’ve got to turn my body clock around often,” she says. “Sometimes that means I lose sleep, and boy, when you don’t get your beauty sleep, then your wellness definitely gets affected!”
Twain also opens up about her best fitness hack, and it’s something everyone can do: Good, old fashioned walking. “I’ll wear my running shoes for the walk and pack my dress shoes in my backpack, and build in my exercise that way.”
