Aldi Is Taking on KitchenAid with a $60 Stand Mixer — Kitchn

Just in time for holiday baking season, grocery giant Aldi is going to start selling a stand mixer that is a fraction of the price of a KitchenAid. Starting on October 18 this year, you can buy the Ambiano Classic stand mixer for just $60. To give you some perspective, a KitchenAid stand mixer can cost around $600.

Just think of all the cookies, cakes, bread, and pie you can make with all that extra dough (get it? Get it?).

The stand mixer comes in two different colors: red and blue. It has a four-quart capacity; includes a beater, dough hook, and whisk; and has six speeds. The stand mixer also comes with a splash guard to keep your counters clean while you’re mixing

The stand mixer is a part of the Aldi Finds program, which means it will only be available for a limited time while supplies last. You will be able to purchase the stand mixer at any Aldi store (see here for locations.) This is not the first time that Aldi has released a stand mixer — they typically offer a stand mixer every year around this time, although the models might differ year to year.

This stand mixer was already launched at Aldi in the U.K. for 2017 and it comes with mostly positive reviews, considering the price. Many reviews note that the stand mixer is good if you’re the occasional baker, but if you bake a lot it’s probably better to fork over the money for something a little more heavy-duty.

Alongside the stand mixer, you will also be able to buy a whole bunch of other kitchen tools in the next few months through the Aldi Finds program. Those things include a slow cooker which will only cost you $17, a food processor for $20, and a convection oven for $25. You could essentially stock your kitchen for under $100 this fall and be prepped for the winter ahead.
