These Are the Most Instagrammed Places of 2017

800 million people use Instagram to share pictures of their friends, food and vacations. The popular app just released their end of year data, and it’s a fun look into where people are ‘gramming, who they followed, and what filters they slapped onto their photos.

New York slides into the top place for most Instagrammed location. The list of international hot spots is made up of population dense, landmark heavy cities, so it makes sense that they would be tagged by both locals and tourists alike. Both the location and city lists were tallied using geotags, so if you spent 2017 furiously hashtagging #Tempe in an attempt to make the list, your efforts were unfortunately in vain.
