7 Cozy Yet Modern Cabins That’ll Make You Want to Run Away From the City

Can cabins be modern? Most cabin decor I’ve seen definitely leans more towards the country-cute side of the spectrum, but this doesn’t mean that lovers of both modern design and cozy, rustic homes are out of luck. I’ve scoured the internet for examples of cozy cabins that are still modern and stylish, to inspire your next winter getaway, or just give you warm vibes on a cold day.

This cabin seen on Hus & Hem is both cozy and bright, thanks to the light-colored logs that form the interior walls (and a matching floor, doors and trim).

This Danish cabin, from Vart Nya Hem via MyDomaine, has a dark, moody elegance. (A lighter floor keeps the dark effect of the walls from feeling too cavernous.)

In this cabin from Achica Living, vertical wood paneling echoes the wide planks of the floor.

This woodland getaway seen on Cote Maison is both cozy and bright, thanks to dark walls and ample windows. Nubby textures like the shag rug amps up the homey and comfortable feels.

A white-painted log cabin is definitely a little unexpected, but in the case of this home, featured by Rue Mag via Lark & Linen, it creates a beautiful effect: bright but still cozy, with a touch of rustic charm.

This tiny home by Aslak Haanshuus Arkitekter and featured on Small House Bliss makes use of wood throughout, from the floor to the walls to the ceiling and even the kitchen cabinets.

From Scandinavian Deko via Temple & Webster, here’s another whitewashed log cabin. The interior is nice and bright, while the texture of the logs provides a beautiful backdrop for modern furniture.

This cabin viewed on Bo Bedre boasts the typical log construction, in a lighter wood that makes the interior feel sunny and bright. Layered against that is a mix of rustic and modern furnishings, for a home that’s incredibly stylish but also quite cozy all at once.
