Peek Inside Brangelina’s Former $55 Million Long Island Estate

Before their very public split in September 2016, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt owned some pretty posh property. While their names were never on the deed to this 47 acre Long Island estate, they did call it home for part of 2009.

According to the New York Post, Brangelina and family spent some time at the Gold Coast estate, named Sassafras, while Jolie was filming Salt. If you think Jay Leno’s recently purchased Newport, Rhode Island manse is luxe, just take a look at this place.

The Tudor Revival spans 22,000 square feet, and includes 25 principal rooms. It’s quite palatial, according to the listing:

Greeting visitors, the lavish grand entrance with 48 foot cathedral ceiling leads to the great hall, study and formal dining room complemented by a wrap around outdoor terrace with commanding water views, a baronial living room with its exceptional fireplace, eight bedrooms and eight full and four half baths, enclosed dining veranda and a resplendent master suite offering 120 degree views of Long Island Sound and Connecticut.

The property also has two guest houses—each 5,500 square feet—as well as a log cabin “tea house,” a pool, a tennis court, and a beach cabana with a full kitchen. Oh, and a gazebo with a bar, bathroom, outdoor shower, and hot tub.

The waterfront property also has a private beach with its own pier “which can accommodate 3 jet skis, an 80-foot motor yacht, 24-foot sailboat, 30-foot speedboat and two maintenance/chase boats with three additional moorings.” And it’s just a 15 minute helicopter ride to Manhattan.

Sassafras is listed for $55 million with Brown Harris Stevens.
