Daniel Craig May Have Bought This Fixer Upper in Brooklyn

It looks like James Bond himself may be Skyfall-ing into Brooklyn. Daniel Craig, the dashing Englishman known for his roles in Bond flicks like Spectre and Casino Royale, is rumored to be the new owner of a $6.75 million home in Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill neighborhood along his wife, the equally-as-stunning Rachel Weisz.

Naturally, the brownstone, which was built in 1901, previously belonged to another famous Brit: author Martin Amis. Unfortunately, the home burned in a fire on New Year’s Eve a year ago, and Amis and his wife headed to a separate property downtown. But it seems Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz have stepped in and snagged the property for a cool $6.75 million, according to reports in the New York Post.

Amis and his wife, Isabel Fonseca, purchased the home in 2010 for $2.5 million. However, the 6600-square-foot space went up in flames thanks to a faulty chimney. Now fully revamped, the Post cites a Corcoran listing that describes the home “a clean, blank slate and ready for a purchaser to finish to their specifications. This home has just received a brand new roof and extensive repair after damage from a fire that was contained to the top floor and is ready for a contractor to begin the finishing work.”

As for Craig and Weisz, the Hollywood heavyweights were previously living in Craig’s $11.5 million penthouse in Soho.
