Even Muggles Can Stay In This Magical Harry Potter House in Edinburgh

Looking for some wizard-related wonderfulness? If there was any justifiable reason to withdraw a handful of Galleons and spend it without hesitation, it’s the chance to spend a few nights in this Harry Potter rental.

Potterheads are probably already packing their robes and inviting their closest muggle pals to BYOB (Bring Your Own Butterbeer) and join them at what sounds like the most enchanting rental ever. Based on the description of Edinburgh, Scotland’s Canongate luxury apartment, we totally get it (and please consider this as our official RSVP).

The Potter-themed pad was created by Yue Gao, a Harry Potter fan whose design skills and imagination produced several standout features that perfectly pay homage to Rowling’s wizard world. For instance, each door in the apartment bears the colors of a particular Hogwarts house as well as its corresponding crest. A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it style entry door takes its design cues from the brick wall-turned portal that leads to Platform 9 ¾.

The master bedroom is modeled after a Gryffindor dormitory, complete with a four-poster bed and floating candles. There’s also a smaller bedroom that resembles a carriage on the Hogwarts Express, which is probably the next best thing to taking a trip on the magical train IRL (which should totally be on your travel bucket list, btw).

Trinkets and furniture once owned by Rowling are scattered throughout the house, including a mirror framed by the famous scribe’s old hand railings as well as an antique desk. In case that’s not incentive enough to book the apartment ASAP, guests also have access to a full kitchen, WiFi, video games and digital TVs.

The magical abode is available for rent year round for $206 a night.
