The Property Brothers Joke About Adding Chip Gaines To The Team

Just call it the HGTV dream team. Drew and Jonathan Scott, the sibling duo behind the hit home renovation series Property Brothers, have set their sights on a possible addition to their team: Chip Gaines!

"We thought about casting Chip [Gaines] as the brother from another mother," Jonathan jokingly told US Weekly.

And while you may think Chip will have some spare time on his hands due to his hit series, Fixer Upper, coming to an end after five seasons, think again. In addition to Chip and Joanna’s thriving Magnolia empire, which include Magnolia Market, Magnolia Realty, and the Magnolia Journal, the audience favorites have another child on the way, bringing their bustling brood to a whopping five children.

"But … with another baby on the way, uh," Jonathan added.

Jonathan and Drew are particularly relishing their newest role, saying they even wish to ramp up their charitable endeavors like the one they do with Habitat for Humanity, for which they are "Habitat Humanitarians."

"We enjoy doing it, we don’t see ourselves stepping back from helping families," Drew continued. "Like what we’re doing with Habitat … and [we] want to do more on the charitable side. Some of the different things."

But that doesn’t mean they’re not pretty tired: "We just try to get naps in wherever we can," Jonathan added.

When they were asked by US back in November about cutting back on work, the brothers said that that they don’t really expect to ever lessen the breakneck speed of their home renovation empire.

"To be totally honest, I don’t see us ever stepping away from doing what we love," they said.
