A Petite Parisian Apartment Bursting With Botanicals Will Make You Green With Envy — House Call

Name: Cécile, Benjamin and cats Kot and Blanket
Location: Paris, France
Size: 538 square feet
Years lived in: 4 years, renting

After a long tour of traveling around the world, Cécile and Benjamin decided to settle in to this Parisian neighborhood so they could live close to urban nature. As an interiors and DIY blogger, Cécile loves to decorate the rental with fancy home decor brands (when she can), but it’s also a space full of clever DIY ideas, too. Though the style is simple, without a lot of color or pattern, it’s a peaceful retreat for this couple…and it’s full of plants and love!

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: mid-century inspo / vintage / DIY / green and jungle

Any advice for creating a home you love? Take your time, buy only what you really love and will love for years. It’s like a relationship…only let the items into your home that you will want to live with for a very long time. And aim for a mix: 1) mass-market retailing decor items with 2) vintage pieces, 3) DIY projects and some arts and crafts pieces and 4) some luxe quality items.

What is your favorite room and why? The living room because of the way the sun comes inside and because of the view.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? This beautiful wallpaper by Casamance.

Thanks, Cécile!
