Marc Maron’s Los Angeles Home (and Famous Podcasting Garage) Hit the Market for $749K

If you consider yourself a fan of comedy, no doubt the garage turned recording studio of this cozy Spanish-style bungalow tucked into the hills of Highland Park will be as familiar to you as the back of your hand. And WTF, it could actually now be yours.

Stand-up comic and writer turned podcast kingpin Marc Maron just listed his modest 2/1 in Highland Park for $749,000, according to Variety, and it includes the famous podcasting garage where he’s spent the last decade interviewing everyone from Oscar winners to presidents as America’s favorite comedian’s comedian and host of both The Marc Maron Show and WTF with Marc Maron.

The comfortable, mid-century-decor-clad stucco home built in 1927 features a refreshingly normal (by celebrity standards) if perfectly appointed 932 square feet, full of vintage “character and charm.” The wow factor of the creative professional’s dream home is definitely the outdoor living and entertaining spaces, including lush lawns, mature agave plants, terraced decks and patios, and impressive canyon views.

And then there’s that famous detached garage, where weekly interview guests for the more than 900 episodes of Maron’s podcasts have included politicians like former President Obama and Vice President Al Gore, Oscar winners like Jennifer Lawrence and Robin Williams, rock stars like Bruce Springsteen and Marilyn Manson, and Saturday Night Live alumni like Will Farrell and Chris Rock.

While he has long been an accomplished and always-working standup comedian, writer, media personality, and actor, the latter seems to really be panning out for Maron since his delightful and charismatic turn as critic- and fan-favorite B-movie director turned coach Sam Sylvia in Netflix’s 80s ode to ladies wrestling, GLOW. Maron bought the home in the now-gentrifying area for $375,000 in 2003, according to the LA Times, and recently listed it for $749,000.
